Prior to the mid-1970s, the year of issue, or release, was usually not printed on the record label. This practice is believed to have been used to preserve the record for air play, so DJs would not remove the older records from the rotation.
The records in the list below are from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, but the exact year of release, or catalogue number, is not known in some cases.
